Michael's Radko - Dance Studio in Calgary
Michael is a Professional Ballroom and Latin dancer and instructor. Originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine where he started his dancing journey when he was 6 years old. Sports and competition have always run deep in his blood. He is a born athlete. Michael has always put all his heart and energy into everything he pursues. Furthermore, he has been trained by the best coaches so he understands that success is about the hard work and dedication.
Michael relocated to Calgary, Canada, bringing extraordinary experience and expertise to the dance floor. Dance Avenue
Michael’s lifelong passion for Ballroom and Latin dance is what brought him to the career of dancing and teaching. He earned a Master’s Degree Diploma in Olympic and Professional Sports with major specialization Sport Dancing and Art from State Academy of Physical Culture in Ukraine in 2009.
Essential part of Michael’s skills and experience has been earned not only at the Academy, but also during lessons and seminars and dancing camps with many top world teachers from Great Britain, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, USA and Canada.
In his professional competitive career Michael has taken part and been a prize winner of many prestigious dance competitions and world class festivals. The latest ones are: Rocky Mountain Open Professional Championship 2016 (Calgary, Canada), California Star Ball 2016 (Los Angeles, USA), Holiday Classic 2016 (Las Vegas, USA).
Moreover, Michael has been successfully teaching students of all ages and dance levels and have had success taking many of them to competitions.
His students have described him as having a ‘larger than life’ personality and inspirational by making learning to dance efficient and fun.
